Monthly Seminar Ideas

When clubs, associations and other organizations have to promote monthly seminars and meetings they have to face difficulty in terms of developing such a marketing system that can produce knowable number of attendees. At such events, number of attendees varies by season and topic of the seminar. For example, in summer, number of attendees fluctuates as people have family commitments due to vacations. Similarly, if topic of seminar is somewhat boring, people will avoid attending that seminar. To overcome this problem, seminar managers and other related people use different ways and ideas to market these seminars in such an effective manner so that more and more people attend their seminars. Some of such ideas are described below:
  • If you want to convince the prospects to attend your seminars every month, you will be required to deliver attractive and appealing content. It means that information should stimulate attendees. When it comes to choosing speakers, make sure that you have seen and heard them before. A speaker should have guts to attract audiences to what he speaks.
  • You should encourage attendees to bring their friends to seminar. This is recommended because word-of-mouth plays an important role to reach and generate new attendees. To promote this further, you can give free tickets to your regular attendees so that they can invite their friends and colleagues.
  • Another way is to run a contest and give away rewards and prizes to those persons who bring their colleagues or friends with them.
  • I would also like to recommend you to go out and network and communicate with professionals. Tell in detail about your event and invite them along with their colleagues. A better way to market your event is through a flyer, poster or brochure that can best describe your event. Give away these brochures and fliers when you meet professionals at social gatherings or networking events.
  • You are also advised to deliver a post event report and tell your members that what they missed in your previous event. Stimulate the members to get registered for next event so that they can’t miss next one. Your post event report should consist of some material that may realize non-attendees that they have missed a great opportunity.
Just like managing an event, promoting an event also needs some skills as your duty is to attract as many people towards your event as possible. So follow above mentioned ideas and make your event a success.
